LUUM AYNI, Land of Harmony

Is a beautiful piece of jungle on the Yucatan peninsula a
few miles south of Valladolid.
Here we were inspired to create a place where we as
human beings can reconnect with Mother Earth and rediscover a lifestyle which is in harmony and balance
with cycles and movements in nature.
In LUUM AYNI we want to live a simple, happy and
sustainable life with and in nature, applying principles  
of permaculture, agro-ecology, natural healing and yoga.

LUUM:
Is the Mayan word for land or earth. It will always remind
us how Mayan people live and have lived since ancient
times in harmony with their land and the cycles of life.
We want to honor the ancestral wisdom of this culture.

AYNI:
Is the Quechua expression for the sacred law of harmony,
or giving and receiving in balance and reciprocity. Until today in the Peruvian Andes indigenous communities continue to live under the sacred law of AYNI applying it to their relationships with nature as well as among themselves.
By practicing AYNI on a daily basis, they create strong social stability and a balanced and safe communal way of living. We want to honor our Peruvian roots.
